Frugal Cooking

A great way to cook frugally is to cook a double or triple bath of whatever you are making. Examples are: red beans, speggitti sauce, soups. After cooking let cool enough to put in a freezer bag (I usually double the bag). You can then label and date it. They will now lay flat in the freezer (takes up less space). When you are ready to defrost be sure to take out of the freezer bag (I ususally cut the bag). You don't want to defrost/cook in the microwave in the plastic bag because of cancer risk. By cooking like this it will save you time and money.
