Proverbs 31 Part 2

In Proverbs 31: 10-31 we read that a Proverbs 31 women is a noble character. She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her. She brings him good all the days of her life. She selects clothing and works with eager hands. She works with the merchant ships bringing food from afar. So, that menas she carefully selects the food for her household. She gets up before dark to begin her day. I am sure she begins her day with the Lord (her quiet time). She then begins preparing healthy food for her household. She considers a field and buys it. So, she is full of wisdom in her affairs for her household. It tells us that out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. So, she is full of wisdom on how she handles her earnings. She works vigorously with her hands. She is defintely strong and not a lazy women. She see's to it that her trading is profitable. So, she has wisdom to run a profitable business. Her lamp does not go out at night. She is even busy at night handeling the affairs of her household. The Bible says that she graps the spindle with her fingers. So, she sews for her household. She opens her arms to the poor. So, we see she gives to the poor. When it is cold out she does not fear because she has them clothed properly. She is also clothed properly. I love that she does not forget about herself. Her husband is repected a the city gate. She respects her husband. She is full of strength and dignity. She laughs. How Awesome to laugh and enjoy life. She does not gossip. She has far too much to do to spend her time doing that. Her children arise and call her blessed, and her husband as well. I think can think of nothing better than that. She surpasses other women by her noble character. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting: but a women who fears the Lord shall be praised. Real true beauty comes from the inside. If we are beautiful on the inside, that beauty will radiate to the outside. This describes one Awesome women! Some people havethe mistaken idea that the ideal women in the Bible is servile and entirely domestic. Not so! This women is an excellent wife and mother. She is a manufacturer, importer, manager, realtor, farmer, seamstress, upholster, and merchant. Her strength and dignity do not come from her amazing achievements, however. They are the result of her reverence for God. In out society where physical appearance counts for so much, it may surprise us to realize that her appearance is never mentioned. Her attractiveness comes entirely from her character. We see that she works hard, respects her husband, has foresight, is an encourager, and cares for others. She has concern for the poor, and wisdom in handeling money. We need to see this women as an inspiration to be all you can be. We can't be just like her, but we can learn from her industry, integrity, and resourcefulness. Most importantly, she fears our Lord Jesus Christ. Proverbs is very practical for our day because it shows us how to become wise, make good decisions, and live according to God's ideal. Be Blessed.
